I read your article about Curves on the Curves' owner's official website. I am a liberal Democrat and have always been prochoice. I am a member of the United Church of Christ which supports a woman's right to choose as well. I knew when I became a Curves owner what Gary Heavin's political views were. While I disagree with his politics I respect his right to have his opinion. He has always led the company with honesty and integrity. I have found Curves to be a company that helped me to realize both personal fitness goals and helped me to earn a decent living while providing a service to other women.

Thank you for your article which provided information on both sides of the issue.

Concerning the "controversy" around Curves International founders Gary and Diane Heavin:
Why shouldn't the Heavins donate money to pregnancy clinics that support adoption and parenting rather than abortion?
Too many abortion activists seem to think that giving women access to these options is equivalent to denying them access to abortion. Shouldn't our "choices" include adoption and parenting as well as abortion?
